Training of CBRN specialists
Apart from inevitable infrastructure, the outdoor testing facility Vyškov offers complete security management (military managing personnel, specialised instructors, guards of safety area) as well as healthcare assistance (doctor, nurse, ambulance). Employing/Deploying own personnel and according to a given plan, it conducts the contamination of samples of various materials, dummies, weaponry and technology, final decontamination of working area and the disposal of toxic waste produced during training.
In each run, there can be at most 24 people. When the trained are equipped with own equipment, apparatuses and devices, including the ability to build initial field space for the training (shelter against bad weather conditions, hygienic cleansing of personnel, staring equipment and materiel) using own capabilities, up to 80 people can participate in training.
The training at outdoor testing facility Vyškov can be conducted considering weather conditions from the beginning of March to the end of November, day and night. Considering the use of toxic substances, only the tasks mastered by day are conducted at night.
All types of common types of toxic substances can be used in the training; considering the source of radioactive radiation, radionuclide emitters can be used (all ensured by VVÚ s. p.). Handling biological warfare agents, open radioactive emitters and aerosols are not currently allowed. Currently, there are negotiations to allow the use, or more precisely the training with open radionuclide with very short half-life.
